What is Type 2 Sports?
Type 2 Sports refers to sports that fall into a category of type 2 fun. I really like the way it is defined in a blog post on REI from October 24, 2014
Type 2 fun is miserable while it’s happening, but fun in retrospect. It usually begins with the best intentions, and then things get carried away. Riding your bicycle across the country. Doing an ultramarathon. Working out till you puke, and, usually, ice and alpine climbing. Also surely familiar to mothers, at least during childbirth and the dreaded teenage years.

I have made huge strides in 90 days in regards to fitness and power. Where 90 days ago I was doing group rides with the mindset of “hang on to the front as long as you can then finish best as you can”, which entailed about 20-25 miles of P1/2 pace till I was dropped, to now this weekend staying with the front pack riding constantly … (I)gained attention one of the local racing groups and I was asked to come race with them Jan1st, which I accepted!
